Walt Disney World Announces 2009 Vacation Packages
2009 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages have just been released. You can start making your 2009 Disney World vacation plans right now!
The packages for 2009 are very similar to 2008 with the addition of a new dining plan; The Magic Your Way Plus Quick Service Dining. Details of each of the 4 major packages are listed below. Terms and conditions apply so be sure to check with your travel agent for details.
Magic Your Way Package is the base package and includes:
- Disney Resort Accommodations
- A Magic Your Way Base Ticket (theme park tickets)
Magic Your Way Plus Quick Service Dining package includes:
- Disney Resort Accommodations
- A Magic Your Way base ticket
- Disney Quick Service Dining Plan
- 1 table service
- 2 Quick Service Meals per day (one entrée or one complete combo meal, one desert at lunch or dinner only or one juice at breakfast, and one single serving non-alcoholic beverage) per person per night of the package stay
- 2 Snacks at select dining locations per person per night of the package stay
- 1 Resort Refillable Drink Mug per person per package
- Cost is $29.99 per day for adults and $8.99* per day for children 3-9.
Magic Your Way Plus Dining package includes:
- Disney Resort Accommodations
- A Magic Your Way base ticket
- Disney Dining Plan
- 1 Table Service Meal (one full buffet & non-alcoholic drink or one entrée, non-alcoholic drink, and dessert (except at breakfast) per person per night of the package stay
- 1 Quick Service Meal (one entrée or one complete combo meal, one desert at lunch or dinner only or one juice at breakfast, and one single serving non-alcoholic beverage) per person per night of the package stay
- 1 Snack at select dining locations per person per night of the package stay
- Gratuities are not included.
- Cost is $39.99 per day for adults and $10.99* per day for children 3-9 (this is a $2 increase over the adult cost in 2008 and a $1 increase in the children’s price from 2008)
Magic Your Way Plus Deluxe Dining package includes:
- Disney Resort Accommodations
- A Magic Your Way base ticket
- Disney Dining Plan
- 3 Meals per person per night of the package stay. The meals can be either a table service meal or a quick service meal as described above.
- Table Service Meal (one full buffet & non-alcoholic drink or one entrée, non-alcoholic drink, and dessert (except at breakfast) per person per night of the package stay
- 2 Snacks at select dining locations per person per night of the package stay
- 1 Resort Refillable Drink Mug per person per package
- Gratuities are not included.
All of these meal plans will save you money and if used correctly can save you quite a bit of money. Additionally, the meal plans let you prepay a big portion, if not all, of your meal costs. This helps you budget better and not overspend while on vacation.
Lastly, it’s important to know that the meal plans have become very popular so you need to make your dining reservation for any table service meal way in advance. Reservations for most restaurants can be made up to six months prior to your vacation.
* Children ages 3-9 are limited to the Children’s Menu at table-service and quick-service restaurants, if one is available.

You should note that the above Quick Service Dining option, new for 2009 DOES NOT include any table service meals. It is all Quick Service, hence the name.
